It is interesting to ponder where people who live in tourist areas go to vacation. Of course, London is much more than just a tourist center. Among all the terms that London can be called, it will always be identified as a metropolis. Being in a big urban center daily can be a grind and have individuals looking for an escape. Even people coming to visit London would like ideas when it comes to places to visit outside of London. Brighton can be one such place to visit and relax.
Since the middle 1800′s Brighton has been an excursion of Londoners. Sitting on the sea it offers a lot of simple distractions for those looking to get away. Many people consider it a prime day trip locale. There is simple shopping to be done at The Lanes, there are a cultural sites like the Brighton Museum and Art Gallery, or historical sites like the Royal Pavilion, a Taj Majal inspired royal home. Then of course, there is the simplicity of doing nothing. After all, one is at the sea and on the beach, what better place to do nothing?
From London one should choose starting point like Victoria Station. A place where all transportation points to and one can head out from. Then that makes getting from Victoria Station to Brighton easy and possibly affordable. The best bet is by rail using Southern Railway on the Brighton Main Line from Victoria Station. There is an express that leaves twice an hour and takes about an hour. Fares start just above £20.
There are also buses from Victoria Station to Brighton that takes two hours and cost £3 each way.
